Gila Bend – Red Rock Canyon

In Gila Bend there is a small, somewhat hidden canyon that contains some red rock similar to Sedona. This lone section of red rock in the desert was used by Native Americans called the Patayan. They inhabited this area over 1000 years ago and left their mark on the walls of the slot canyons here. It’s not a huge site, but definitely a “bucket list” type of place for those searching out archaeological evidence of previous cultures.
