Walnut Canyon in Flagstaff is a well maintained national monument. The trail descends down a few flights of stairs and takes you on a cliffside path following dwellings made by the Ancestral Puebloans who are descendants of the Hopi people today.
The ruins are still pretty well intact and you are allowed to wander around inside of some of them. Well worth a visit if you are in Flagstaff.
